Mrs. Anna Coe Young, 94, of 6 Blaisdell Street, died July 28, 1982, at a Winthrop nursing home. She was born in Calais, July 19, 1888, the daughter of  John and Catherine Kavanaugh Coe. She was the wife of the late Arthur I. Young who died in 1942. Mrs. Young was a graduate of Calais Academy, class of 1907, and Worcester Teachers College, class of 1909. She then taught school in Beaverly MA for several years. She attended the South Parish Congregational Church. She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Barbara A. Pullen of Augusta; a grandson, Charles A. Pierce III of Manchester; a granddaughter Catherine Pierce of Augusta; several nieces and nephews. [Bangor Daily News July 29, 1982]
