Letter from Cliff Goudy re LNG

Remember, in the scheme of things, the Robbinston the vote means nothing.  Sure, Baldacci will have an excuse to prod state agencies to move quickly.  But that does not alter the hurdles. Girdis was only able to buy Robbinston.

Without the those delusions of future wealth, I doubt the rest of the County will be so blinded.  The important things to keep in mind are:

1)  The negative impacts would fall well beyond that little town.

2)  The economic analysis that is in preparation will reveal the flaws in Girdis's mental construct.

3)  Canaport, Bear Head, and the Keltic project offer a more reliable form of hope since pipeline capacity and willing financial resources are finite.

4)  The clock is ticking and none of the Passamaquoddy Bay projects are in the lead group of projects.

5)  We have an interesting opportunity to alter the national direction next fall.

6)  The myth that LNG supplies can meet global LNG demand is nearly dispelled.

7)  The Moosehorn.
